SOCIETY OF JESUS OF IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA

Ignatius of Loyola in Paris, in 1534, catechetical purposes, propagation of religious faith and the educational work, createsthe Society of Jesus, which spread to Europe and America.

Brazil, a country still operating by the Portuguese and in need ofreligious ideologies, the right target was the Jesuits who couldevangelize and establish the Catholic doctrine among the Indians, natives and children of Portuguese who ventured in these lands.

The institutionalized education propagated by the Jesuits, and sat in the Brazilian territory with great ease, as it tuned with the idea of colonization and commercial society employed by the Portuguese.

The Jesuits maintained and reproduced the view that thePortuguese settler aimed at the production and exploitation for marketing purposes. (Scribe Valdemir Mota de Menezes)
